Staying focused is hard!

I love cake, chocolate. I’m a foodie and love all food. It’s hard not being able to eat what I want when I want. I could do you know. Physically, my metabolism can cope with anything. Performance wise, it’s mostly mental how you perform. Health wise, I’m a little more conscious of what I consume. My daughter chose a smarties chocolate cake for my grans birthday. I’m sitting here looking at it out the kitchen. I’m a little hungry. It would taste nice, I know, I’ve had chocolate cake before, it’s good. Physically, I know I don’t need it. Performance wise, fast energy, but only short lasting. Health wise, full of sugar and probably not the best quality fats. But one slice isn’t going to hurt. Bearing all the above in mind I won’t eat any. Yes for those reasons, but also because I see it as a challenge. Just as I see that next hill as a challenge, just as I see the last rep as a challenge. It’s all the same. It all goes toward the relentless commitment that’s required to achieve what you want in respect of you body, your competition, and your health.
